Chairman’s Message

Hello and Welcome to 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc.

The 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. is committed to the growth and development of America’s youth, “Creating Opportunities and Changing Lives”. Our commitment is reflected through our five academy site locations providing onsite mentoring, STEM initiatives, health and wellness education, and economic development programs. Our motto is “Real Men, Giving Real Time”. Our objective is to be the premier volunteer mentoring organization for African-American youth throughout the Greater Chicago Area.

Since our inception in November 1994, we have mentored thousands of elementary and high school students to prepare for life’s challenges. In 2003, we pushed to provide information and resources for students to pursue college. Today, our annual College Scholarship Fair is one of the largest in the country hosted by a volunteer organization. Yearly, up to 200 colleges and universities engage with nearly 5,000 students and adults. We also provide valuable workshops that day for students and parents. To date thousands of students have been offered over $50 million in scholarship support into a college or university. Another heartwarming and fulling event is our annual Toy Drive. Each December we collect toys for various shelters and children organizations in the Chicago area. This is one of the many opportunities our mentees learn how to give back through community service. With the support and contribution of our invaluable volunteers, members, parents, civic leaders, community partners, and corporate sponsors, we are striving to continue fulfilling our mission to enhance the lives of young people and their communities in the Chicagoland area.
